This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels, "cookies") are used on danielstanica.com (the "Website"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions and is drafted in accordance with Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on e-privacy, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"), and Romanian Law no. 190/2018.

1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can be:
- first-party (set by the Website) or third-party (set by another domain, e.g., through embedded content);
- session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored until they expire or you delete them).
Similar technologies such as browser local storage serve comparable purposes and are treated the same way under this Policy.
2. Our Approach
We keep cookie use to a minimum. The Website is designed to work without tracking you: reading articles, playing the on-site games, and browsing require no consent-based cookies at all.

Administrative session cookies exist only for the Website operator's login to the content management system; they are not set for regular visitors.
3.2 Analytics
[OPTION A — IF USING CLOUDFLARE WEB ANALYTICS (COOKIELESS):] We measure aggregate Website usage with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across websites. Because no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under Law no. 506/2004 is required, and no analytics entry appears in the consent banner. The legal basis for the underlying aggregate measurement is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3.3 Third-party cookies from embedded content
Some pages embed externally hosted content (e.g., videos or social media posts). If such content loads, the third party may set its own cookies, over which we have no control.
Embeds load only if you have accepted the "Embedded content" category in the consent banner.

3.4 Cookies we do not use
We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share cookie data for third-party marketing.
4. Managing Your Consent
- Consent banner: on your first visit, you can accept all, refuse all, or choose per category. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and we load no consent-based cookies before you choose.
- Changing your mind: you can revisit your choices at any time via the [Cookie Settings] link in the Website footer. Withdrawing consent stops future setting of the relevant cookies; already-set cookies can be removed via your browser.
- Browser controls: all major browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies (typically under Settings → Privacy). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect security features of the Website.
